What are the training requirements for obtaining Master Certification?
Attend one of the CCRN biannual confrences, pass the associated tests. You must also attend a CORA training and pass that test. Once testing is successfully completed, a Master Certificate is sent to your departments Chief or Sheriff for presentation to the participant.
A minimum of 16 points is required for re-certification every three years from date of Master Certification. CORA class (at least 6 hours) is mandatory every three years, but it is strongly recommended that techs attend every year to stay current with changing laws.
