Board Members - ALERTSAM

Chairman- John Lynkiewicz

I started in law enforcement at the age of 15 with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Youth Division and then became a Cadet until my enlistment in the United States Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist, K-9. After the service, I served as a Reserve Officer for the Golden Police Department for almost 10 years. In 2003, I started with the Arvada Police Department as a Records and Evidence Supervisor until laid off 2009. In 2010 I worked as a Records Supervisor for the Thornton Police Department until 2015. November of 2015, I started with the Colorado State Patrol to establish a Central Records Unit (agency records were decentralized prior) as the Central Records Manager.

Throughout my career in law enforcement records, I have supported and served on the board of the ALERT/SAM organization in the roles of Vice-Chairman and Chairman. In these roles, I have been fortunate to work with the CCRN Advisory Board as the ALERT/SAM liaison. Both these incredible organization's both proudly serve the law enforcement records community of Colorado and provides great opportunities to obtain relevant trainings in our areas of expertise and technologies, network with other records professionals and the ability to obtain Master Records Technician certification through the great efforts of the CCRN.

Secretary,- Stephanie Zingg

I started my police career in 2008 at the Parker Police Department as a report technician, and took a full time position in Records in 2013. I became the Lone Tree Police Records Supervisor in 2017 and am still doing well there. Living in Parker, it was important for me to have some positive participation in my community. I trained under the Alert Sam Chairwoman, Jennifer Degenhart and learned a lot in a short amount of time. In 2016 I was nominated and accepted a position as the Alert Sam Secretary to help support this organization, and all of its members. In 2017 after I accepted my current position as Records Supervisor in Lone Tree, I was finally able to retire from my 2nd job at Safeway after 28 & 1/2, years! I feel very blessed and proud to be a part of, and have close access to the members of CCRN and ALERT Sam. I really think that with the help and support of each other we can all help to hold one another up, and become better at what we do all the time. We do a lot to help law enforcement do its job as well as possible, and bring a good light to the backstage of law enforcement and I think we should all take a lot of pride in that. What we do is really important to not just us, but the organizations that we work for, and the communities we serve.
I was born and raised in Colorado, and I love it here. My husband of over 20 years is a landscape construction foreman, and have a wonderful son in high school. When I'm not at work, with any luck, you'll find me enjoying our amazing state, horseback riding, sledding or snowboarding with my son. I am also an amateur photographer and have shot many stills, portraits, senior photos, and even a few weddings.
